ASABA: The Delta State Government has awarded the contract for the reconstruction of the dual carriageway from the Spare Parts Market U-turn, Effurun, to beyond Ohore Junction before Omenta Bridge, along the Warri–Sapele–Benin Road, to CCECC.
According to the State Tenders Board, the project will feature an expanded pavement width of 8.8 metres, 2.8-metre reinforced concrete shoulders, and 12 kilometres of stormwater drains on both sides of the carriageway, including discharge channels.
The reconstruction is scheduled for completion within 12 months and is expected to deliver a durable, modern, and safe road that will decongest traffic, complement the ongoing flyover projects from the DSC Roundabout to Ohore Junction, stimulate trade, and enhance the daily lives of residents.
