AGBOR: The Ika North-East Local Government Area Leaders Forum of the (All Progressives Congress APC) has applauded the Delta State Working Committee (SWC) for its bold resolutions aimed at restoring unity, transparency, and equity within the party, particularly its recent stance on suspension matters.
In a statement signed by the forum and addressed to the SWC, the leaders hailed the ten-point resolutions adopted on August 21, 2025, describing them as palatable, digestible, and sagaciously taken in the best interest of the party.

Today, the flame of justice has been duly rekindled via your undisputed and unbiased resolutions in the most colourful way.
Apart from Ika North-East, there are other local government areas across Delta State where APC Faithfuls have suffered similar injustices. This landmark resolution has rejuvenated their hopes and will further strengthen their loyalty to the party, the forum stated.
The forum drew the committee’s attention to the suspension of Ms. Mercy Ochei, Woman Leader of Ward 11, Umunede, on October 22, 2024, by the Ika North-East APC executives led by Hon. Ekene Kerry. They described the action as a conspiracy-driven and tyrannical decision taken without granting her fair hearing.
According to the leaders, several appeals to reverse what they termed a kangaroo verdict were ignored, but with the SWC’s resolution, justice has now been restored.
While commending the SWC for demonstrating leadership by example, the forum urged strict monitoring and enforcement of the resolution across Delta State to ensure compliance at all levels.
We passionately appeal to the SWC to ensure that Resolution No. 8 is implemented to the letter across the state. In Ika North-East, we, the stakeholders, are keenly watching the steps toward compliance in order to determine our next course of action,” the statement added.
The forum reaffirmed its confidence in the leadership of Elder Omeni Sobotie and the SWC, describing their recent decisions as a major boost for party unity and grassroots mobilization.
