Political Battles In Edo Continues As Police Lock Up Deputy Governor’s Office

EDO STATE: The office of the deputy governor of Edo State, on Osadebe Avenue, Benin city, capital of Edo state has been sealed off by stern-looking policemen who were spotted there on Sunday.

When Philip Shaibu and Governor Godwin Obaseki were at when things got heated, he moved his sealed office outside of Government House.

The entry gate was locked as of Sunday, and a police truck with three officers and a machine gun mounted on it was parked in front of the gate.

It was learned that the office staff was instructed to report back to the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Agency on Friday, and that the press crew bus and official vehicles in the deputy governor’s office had been relocated to the Head of Service’s office within the Government House on Osadebe Avenue.

You are aware that we are civil servants, according to a Deputy Governor’s office staff on Sunday. Thursday, we received an instruction on to resume in the office. So we will be there tomorrows morning.
