Lagos: The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Lawal Pedro (SAN), has promise that trial will commence soon to unravel the persons behind the death of the late Singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad.
In response to inquiries from reporters on Monday regarding the lengthy court case delay, Pedro said the reason was as a result of prolonged investigation of the case.
Toxicology, analysis, and forensics are all components of the investigation, he stated. In a case that is brought before the courts, a full proof investigation can at least result in a conviction.

Pedro also noted that the Lagos DNA and Forensic Center was set on fire during the October 2020 #EndSARS protest, which is why the forensic investigations were conducted in the United States. According to him, this made it necessary for the toxicology report and additional forensic analysis to be carried out in the US.
He attested that the autopsy is currently with the US and that the reports have been received.
The delay is now with the family of Mohbad who has indicated that they would like to conduct their independent autopsy but despite this, the trial will soon commence and the court will do justice in the matter, the AG said
