Fubara: Rivers Crisis is Driven by Resource Control

PORT HARCOURT: Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has asserted that the ongoing political crisis in the state stems from a struggle for control over its resources.

He emphasized his commitment to using these resources for the benefit of the people.

Governor Fubara made these remarks during the celebration of Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere’s 51st birthday at the Omega Power Ministries headquarters in Mbodo, Aluu, Ikwerre Local Government Area, on Sunday.

He stated the reason for this crisis is the control of Rivers State’s resources. These resources belong to you, the people, and we will ensure they are used wisely for the betterment of Rivers State

He urged the community to keep him and his administration in their prayers, acknowledging the challenges they face and the need to remain focused on serving the public interest.

Your prayers are crucial to our success, as the welfare of the people is paramount. With your support, we will overcome these challenges, he added.

Fubara also praised Apostle Chinyere for his philanthropic efforts and his commitment to education, highlighting the ministry’s initiatives aimed at equipping children with vocational and technical skills for future employment.
