PORTHARCOURT: Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reassured his supporters that victory is certain, despite the political challenges facing the state.
The governor made this statement on Monday during the commissioning of the Government House Staff Quarters at Forces Avenue, across from the Government House in Port Harcourt. He assured the former council chairmen in attendance that there was no reason for concern.
Opening his address with a passage from the Bible, Philippians 3:18-19, Governor Fubara highlighted the importance of faith and perseverance in the face of adversity. He quoted, “For many walk, of whom I have often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.
He went on to state that, “Despite everything, victory is certain.” The governor emphasized that the struggle is not only about winning but about standing for the truth and fighting bravely.

Governor Fubara declared that the era of deception in Rivers State has ended and that the state is now resolute in taking control of its future.
Reaffirming his commitment to peace, he emphasized that when the time comes, the state will make the necessary decisions in its best interest. I am not afraid of anything.
The worst that can happen is for me to leave office, he said, affirming his unwavering commitment to his principles.
To the youth, the governor assured them that they would receive the right guidance at the appropriate time.
Responding to the Supreme Court’s ruling, which nullified the local government elections and ordered the Martin Amaewhule-led group to resume their sessions, Governor Fubara remained optimistic, asserting that the future holds more promise than the past.
He pledged to complete his tenure with honor and integrity, ensuring that his actions are justifiable.
Fubara also stressed the importance of combating political propaganda with evidence of effective governance, pointing to the ongoing inauguration of state projects as proof of his administration’s dedication to progress.
He explained that the newly commissioned project was aimed at improving work efficiency among public servants in government offices.
