APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje Resigns Citing Health Reasons

Abuja: The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has officially resigned from his position.

Reliable sources within the APC confirmed that Ganduje stepped down due to health-related concerns. His resignation letter was reportedly submitted to APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, on Friday in Abuja.

Dr. Ganduje, who served as the former Governor of Kano State, assumed the role of APC national chairman in 2023 after the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu.

His resignation has already triggered internal party discussions, especially with upcoming elections and political realignments on the horizon.

At the time of filing this report, the APC leadership had not released an official statement on Ganduje’s replacement or the party’s next steps.

Political analysts note that Ganduje’s exit could reshape internal dynamics within the APC, especially as preparations intensify ahead of the 2026 general elections.
