ABUJA: Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has unveiled an ambitious initiative described by many as the mother of All Empowerments,directly impacting over 2,000 constituents across Adavi Local Government Area.
The program includes distribution of career- and trade-transforming tools such as electric tricycles, deep freezers, gas cookers, sewing machines, farm equipment, fishery tools, shoemaking kits, and startup cash grants.
In addition, educational scholarships, school supplies, and health/maternity kits were provided.
Akpoti-Uduaghan also commissioned critical infrastructure, including two modern markets with 80 shops each, primary and secondary schools in Fulani settlements, solar-powered streetlights, boreholes, police quarters, patrol vehicles, and eight 500 kVA transformers across the five local governments.
Addressing her constituents, the senator expressed gratitude for their trust over her two-year tenure, reflecting on challenges including a six-month legislative suspension.
Through trials and opposition, we remained committed to truth, justice, and the collective dream of a better Kogi Central, she said.
The senator emphasized sustainability and community ownership with the launch of the Kogi Central People’s Company Limited, tasked with managing assets to fund scholarships, erosion control, and welfare for widows and orphans.
“This celebration is not about me; it is about the journey we have begun and the future we are building together, she said, pledging continued accessibility, accountability, and action-driven leadership.
The initiative has been widely lauded as a benchmark for constituency-focused governance, blending economic empowerment, education, security, and durable infrastructure, setting a high standard for legislative service in Nigeria.
