The war between Israel and Palestine continues as Israeli forces attack killed at least 16 Palestinians and injured more 50 others at UNRWA’s Al-Jaouni school sheltering displaced people in al-Nuseirat camp in central Gaza, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

A displaced man at the school shared this  story to News reporter that children were among the injured.

“There was a swing here, swings were here, (children) were playing. What was their fault?” he said as he held his little daughter. “We barely found this place in the school, but even the school is not safe.”several injured children arriving at a nearby hospital following the attack as shown in the video

A statement  issued by the Israeli military on Saturday  states that militants were operating in structures located in the school area.

According to the Director of communication Juliette Touma, the area was used as a hideout and operational base for attacks on Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stationed in the Gaza Strip,
UNRWAA . we do not have all the information though half of UNRWA’s facilities in Gaza had been affected since October 7.

“At least 500 people sheltering in those (UNRWA) facilities have been killed, many were women and children,” according to him

The revelation comes as long-stalled hostage release and peace talks appeared to be moving forward. A senior Hamas official explained that the terrorist organization was willing to reconsider its demand that Israel commit to a permanent ceasefire in Gaza before signing a deal that would establish a temporary truce and begin the process of releasing detainees.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said it “condemned in the strongest terms” the attack on the UNRWA building, which it said “houses thousands of displaced civilians.”

Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the strike and Israel’s “clear disregard for the rules of international law,” claiming that humanitarian facilities and shelters must be protected by international law.

Protesters clash with mounted police officers during a demonstration calling for a hostages deal and against the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government on July 6, 2024 in Tel Aviv.
Israeli police said in a statement that two protesters were arrested at the Tel Aviv demonstration, citing violations of public order and unsafe behavior, including “lighting bonfires on the road.”
Meanwhile, the nearly weekly protests against the Israeli government continued on Saturday. Thousands gathered in Tel Aviv’s Democracy Square to demand new elections and the release of captives, expressing dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of issues including the Gaza conflict.

Israeli police deployed a large number of officers to maintain order and disperse the rally when protesters illegally gathered  at the beginning  of Menachem Road and attempted to block it.

Protesters waved Israeli flags and held signs condemning Netanyahu, as police used water cannons to disperse  protesters  who were impeding traffic on the Ayalon Highway.
