RCCG Calls for Evidence In Probe Of Youth Ministers Accused Of Homosexual Misconduct

LAGOS: The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has provided a specific phone number and email address for church members and the general public to submit evidence as part of an investigation into allegations of homosexuality involving two church leaders.

Reports surfaced on Tuesday that Pastor Ayorinde AdeBello and Deacon Oke Mayowa were suspended from their roles following accusations of inappropriate conduct with young church members.

The church has directed its Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Administration to lead a thorough investigation, with a two-week timeline for completion.

In a statement issued late Tuesday, signed by RCCG’s National Overseer, Pastor Sunday Akande, and titled “RCCG Addresses Allegations Against Youth Ministers, the church encouraged individuals with relevant information to come forward.

We urge anyone with pertinent evidence that could aid in this investigation to share it. Please note that only direct evidence related to the current case will be reviewed; other unrelated submissions will not be considered, the statement read.
