A Nigerian Senator, Ifeanyi Ubah, is dead. Mr Ubah, who represented Anambra South District, slump and died in London hotel on Friday
The Anambra politician and capital oil boss defected to the APC after he won the Senatorial election seat on the platform of Youth progressive Party (YPP). He has since declared his intention to contest for the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra State

Mr Ubah suffered slumps after suffering what family sources described as cardiac arrest and passed away in London yesterday. He was 52.
Mr Ifeanyii Ubah was for years the CEO of downstream oil marketer Capital Oil.

The business mogul In 2014, ran for Anambra state governor under the Labour Party but lost. He then moved to the Young Progressive Party (YPP), winning a Senate seat in both 2019 and 2023.
Later in 2023, Senator Ubah dump YPP and defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He explained then that his joining the APC was to ensure the South-East aligns with the government at the centre. .
He served as a member of the Nigerian Senate until his death.
