According to sources, the driver collided with the soldiers during their routine road jogging early on Friday morning, just outside the barracks.
An eyewitness, Priscilla, who lives nearby, described the scene, saying that the Toyota vehicle, occupied by three young men, sped directly into the soldiers while they were jogging. After the crash, the men reportedly tried to flee the scene but were quickly caught and beaten by the soldiers. The vehicle was also vandalized.
Priscilla added that one of the young men was stabbed by the soldiers during the confrontation.
“The incident occurred in the early hours of this morning while the soldiers were on their monthly jog,” she explained. “The young men rammed into them, resulting in the deaths of four soldiers and several others being seriously injured. Afterward, the boys tried to escape but were caught, severely beaten, and their car destroyed. One of them was also stabbed.”
The incident has caused significant panic in the local community.
