Sean “Diddy” Combs, currently behind bars awaiting trial on serious charges, reportedly encouraged Kanye West to return to music and “have some fun” during a recorded prison phone call.
The conversation surfaced amid ongoing tensions between West, 47, and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, 44, over his decision to feature their 11-year-old daughter, North, in his new song Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine. The track also includes contributions from Diddy, 55, and his son Christian “King” Combs.
Kim, who shares joint custody of their four children—North, Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (5) strongly opposed North’s involvement in the song, especially given West’s recent controversial remarks, where he praised Hitler and called himself a Nazi.
In the jailhouse call, obtained by The Shade Room on Monday, Diddy urged Kanye to refocus on his craft.
When I get out there, man, I want to see you fg tear down the stadiums. I need to see you back on that stage, fg actually rapping and f*g performing and everything. I be dreaming of that st,”** Diddy told West.
The exact timing of the call remains unclear, but it comes as Kanye continues to clash with Kim, recently threatening to go “to war” with her over their daughter’s involvement in his music.
Diddy, once a major force in the music industry, is currently facing charges including sex trafficking, while West remains in the spotlight for both his music and ongoing controversies.
