Senate President Godswill Akpabio has revealed that he spent the night inside the Dangote Cement factory in Obajana, Kogi State, on the wedding day of Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Speaking during Thursday’s plenary at the National Assembly, Akpabio, a former Minister of the Niger Delta, explained that he had to stay at the factory due to poor lighting conditions at the Kogi airport.
I slept in the Dangote Cement factory in Obajana, Kogi State, on the night of Senator Natasha’s wedding because the Kogi airport lights were in a poor state,” he stated.

The Senate President emphasized his close relationship with Natasha’s husband, describing him as a good friend and highlighting that his presence at the wedding was a testament to their bond.
Meanwhile, the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions has recommended a six-month suspension for Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan The committee also insisted that she must tender an apology to the Senate for what was termed “disrespecting the Senate.”
As part of the suspension terms, the committee ruled that her salary and security details would be withdrawn for the duration of the suspension.
